Initially my child’s EHCP was declined even though it was incredibly clear for all to see it was needed.
I tried to go through mediation but no one from KCC was available so was told by the mediation company my next step was tribunal.
After filling in tribunal paperwork, someone from KCC called me for a discussion. After a lengthy discussion the lady over turned their decision and an EHCP was granted.
The whole process, nearly broke me mentally. It’s an absolute disgrace for any parent/ guardian to go through.
