Terrible Overall Rating: 1 Review: The Local Authority have been atrocious for a long time now. The delays have been unforgivable. I didn't even have a named SEND caseworker until almost a year after I applied for my son's EHCP. He was already out of school due to mental health crisis resulting from unmet needs after waiting over a year beforehand for Autism and ADHD assessments.

They didn't show up to mediation and then waited until a week before tribunal to call and say they would assess. The Ed Psych was amazing. She was excellent with my acutely anxious child, thorough and spent a significant amount of time with us as he was "such a complex case". Her report was brilliant.

They don't have provision to meet my son's needs and, despite a letter from our GP supporting EOTAS due to my son's "clinical levels of anxiety" and stating, "school would be completely inappropriate" for him, they are still consulting with schools (despite telling me over a month ago EOTAS had been agreed in principle). When I emailed my caseworker she said she had "misunderstood"...

My son has now been out of school for almost a year and a half! Report Content
