Terrible Please rate the communications your received from the local authority in timeliness and quality of information? Terrible Overall Rating: 3 Review: We have had 3 caseworkers so far, with no notification that our caseworker had changed. We were sending emails to a previous case worker without the knowledge they had left.

Misinformation during the EHCP application process resulted in lack of SALT provision for 1.5yrs of child's schooling. Parents have had to self fund and then claim back from the LA (NB this EHCP is a result of parental application before child started school, parent is a teacher so well informed but has still found the process hard to navigate).

Lack of response to emails and failure to keep to deadlines. Formal complaints process used twice as a means to ensure a response to queries.

Annual review completed in March 2023 has just been returned (Feb 2024) with suggested amendments. Due another review next month so seems completely pointless to engage at this point.

SENDIASS were incredibly helpful when applying for EHCP, the LA provided very little guidance.

EP allocated by the borough left the family incredibly upset by their meeting and nursery workers shocked by lack of interest in the child's capabilities beyond the most basic of tasks.

They provide false information to the school and SENCo, and the SENCo also does not know SEND law or code of peactice and relies on the information provided by the LA.
They miss statutory deadlines and complaints have to be submitted to ensure there is as minimal delays as possible. Report Content
