If your child achieves academically it is almost impossible to get their needs met, the sencos are great but it's very much Russian roulette if the teacher you get adheres to the IEP I have 2 children both achieve academically, both have autism the one that has more complex needs that aren't directly education related can't even get an ehcp assessment but my other son has been awarded an ehcp he's off to seniors but his brother can't get toilet prompts from the teacher even though he has an impacted bowel and senco have agreed he will have it, this school have great provisions if your child struggles to do their work they will get it, anything outside of this it's a battle the headteacher also treats the meeting and communication record like his version of lady whistledown musings calling good mum's attention seekers for bringing issues to be discussed to support their child, my child now has no school while i try and get placement at another one
